The RSG Bristol Young Student of the Year awards is a six-month competition for 16-19 year old students aimed at developing employability skills in young people. I acted as a mentor for Ashton Park school over the six months. From an initial 25 teams, my team reached the 2013 final.
The final challenge was to design a website that would help showcase apprentiships in the catering sector. My team won the 'Best Product' award in the final and received a record number of nominations (including 'Best Project Manager', 'Most Improved', 'Best Presentation' and 'Best Young Student'). |
This video explains a bit more about the competition. It also features me giving a bit of coaching in the middle too.
