Write Now Festival
I worked as Events Manager and Front of House Manager for the first Write Now Festival in 2010.
Now running every spring, the Write Now Festival is Liverpool's One Act Play Festival. The Festival runs for nine days, opening on the Friday pre-Good Friday and closes Easter Sunday every year presenting performances of new plays in a Liverpool city-centre venue dedicated to new writing.
Write Now was originally the brainchild of Festival Director Ian Moore, who employed me to plan and run the Front of House team across the festival as well as run a series of pre-festival events.
In my role I employed and lead a team of 18 volunteers; I organised and planned shifts across a 10 day Theatre Festival; I ran a number of pre-Festival events including the Producer’s Day, Meet Market, Volunteers Day and Press Launch; I regularly gave Presentation pitches and I Liaised between venue staff and Directors/Actors/Technicians.
